Touro College is one of the universities in the United States, established in 1970. The University is a high school student in community Jewish majority. At this time, Touro College provides many university branches scattered in various countries such as, in Germany, France, Russia, and Israel. At this time, the university has a total of 32 campuses.

To meet the needs in the academic field, the university provides a variety of majors, among other fields of study majors in Accounting and Business, Computer Science and Information Technology, and Natural Sciences and Pre-Health Professions. And to further improve the quality of education, in the year 2011, the school merged with the New York Medical College.

Because the university is a Jewish university, then the religious traditions prevailing in the university campus is associated with Jewish tradition. This can be seen from the academic system, for example, the university opened the field of Jewish studies department, where the department is divided into two schools of religion, that is colleges for men and for women's colleges.

To support one of its academic programs, the university was founded Touro College Israel Option (TCIO). Where the program has the goal to provide supplies and knowledge to the students to complete up to 36 credits in select Israeli seminaries.
