University of San Diego

University of San Diego is a private Roman Catholic university that was established in 1949. The establishment of this university characterized by unique 16th century Spanish Renaissance architecture overlooking the Pacific Ocean. University of San Diego is located at 5998 Alcala Park, San Diego, CA 92110, USA, to be precise about two miles north of downtown San Diego, at the peak north of Mission Valley in Linda Vista community.

Through its seven academic departments, the University of San Diego offers 42 bachelor's degrees with a variety of concentrations and 50 minors, which includes a master's degree programs, PhD, DNP, and other doctoral programs.

There is a festival that is always held on a regular basis by members of the university for a full week, the University of San Diego Changemaker Fest, campus-wide celebration that promotes entrepreneurship, collaboration and innovation for positive social change. With the existence of the festival, is expected to encourage and develop the talents of students to be more creative in developing business ideas.

There is a another way conducted by universities to make students become better at creating, by opening a student-run electronics waste collection center, the first of its kind on a college campus.

And to develop students' talents and hobbies in sports, the University of San Diego has been providing a wide range of sports facilities and infrastructure. There are about 23 sports clubs in the university campus, 17 of which compete in the NCAA Division I competition, with the mascot, dubbed the Torero. They mainly compete in the West Coast Conference. And to give encouragement to the current student-athletes compete, the fans sang "olé, olé, olé, olé!" at every game.
